My Product List
Cleaning Agents: Vinegar & water is at the top of my list for most surfaces, including furniture. Vinegar is a natural disinfectant and beautifier and perfectly safe if used sparingly. It is also an excellent application for glass and mirrors, and I habitually wash and dry them rather than spray and wipe.
I also wipe furniture surfaces with a water-dampened soft microfiber cloth...then dry with a flour sack towel. My favorite combo! Lemon-scented Lysol (or equivalent) is used throughout kitchen and bath to disinfect, clean, and freshen. If dealing with a particularly delicate surface (i.e. natural stones), I may resort to industry-standard techniques with mild household agents or will use your own product. Scented bleach for "stubborn situations" in tubs/showers (on suitable surfaces) or as a mildew preventative. |
Soft Scrub solution for porcelain and stainless steel sinks. This helps to remove rust and gray markings and restore a fresh appearance. Vinegar or CLR, et al are periodically used to help with lime build-up.
Cloths: Plush microfiber cloths and flour sack towels/clean cottons are my primary sidekicks. This combination is unbeatable for dusting, wiping, or washing surfaces and drying to lintless perfection. While the cleaning agent may vary, my two-step method with these particular cloths is unquestionably my trademark preference. Furniture polish: Again, vinegar and water yield great results, even for wood surfaces. I may also have almond-scented Method wood polish on hand for occasional use (if desired). |
*If there is a specific product that you prefer that is not on this list, I will happily use what you have available.
